Reports
From EFrontWiki
eFront provides extensive reports for different system objects. Access to reports is granulated based on the type of user and role inside the system. The Administrator has access to all reports while the Professor has access on reports for his lessons and users. We can define sub-user types with different privileges on reports. All reports can be exported in EXCEL or PDF format. Entering the reports option, the administrator and professor will have the following reports to choose from:
Contents |
[edit] User reports
Entering the user report, the administrator or professor can search for the relevant user using the following feature:
Entering the user's name or "%" in the search field, which generates a list of all available users, the administrator or professor can choose a specific user and obtain the following information:
NOTE: the administrator has access to all users on the system whereas the professor will only have access to the users following his lessons.
The lessons tab, shown above, and the course tab, same format, generate all information regarding the users attendance and performance within particular lessons and courses accordingly.
The "more info" tab, shows the users interaction with the system and with communication tools, as shown above.
The "traffic" tab, allows for a time-constrained search of users activity within the system, showing number of logins and accesses per lesson. This is a very useful feature for administrators and professors to monitor users involvement and attendance within a specific time period.
[edit] Lesson reports
Entering into the lesson reports, the administrator and professor will have the search field, as with the user reports above, to find the lesson they are interested in generating a report for.
NOTE: the administrator will have access to all lessons on the system whereas the professor will only have his lessons to choose from.
Once the lesson is selected, the following information will be generated:
The first tab of the report, "users tab" generates all performance and attendance information of users attending and in any way involved with the particular lesson.
NOTE: All the information generated in the lesson reports, all tabs, can be further filtered to show active, inactive or all users and/or users within a particular group.
This information can be further filtered to show the particular information according to each user
This section of the report, shows all the tests within the particular lessons and the users who have attempted it and the score they achieved.
The questions tab, shows all the questions from the tests within the lesson, indicating: what type of question it is, i.e. multiple choice, the difficulty of the each question, the number of times each question has been attempted and the average score users achieved.
The "more info" tab generates further information about the lesson, shown above.
As with the user reports, the "traffic" tab of the lessons report allows for a time-constrained search of users activity within the specific lesson, showing number of logins and accesses per lesson. This is a very useful feature for administrators and professors to monitor users involvement and attendance within a specific time period.
[edit] Course reports
Using the search field, as with the previous reports, the administrator or professor can choose the relevant course they want the report for.
Indicating the lessons within the chosen course, this report generates the information shown above and can be further filtered to show active, inactive or all users within the specific course.
[edit] System reports
This report generates information regarding the whole system, which can be time constrained to show activities between a particular time interval, as shown below:
Further statistical information can be accessed by clicking on the report link, encircled above.
This section of the report, shows the type of users that are registered on the system and how many of each type are registered.
[edit] Commercial editions
The commercial editions of eFront have extra reporting features incorporated, compared to the community free edition, which we will explore below:
[edit] Test reports
There is a search field for these reports, where administrators or professors can locate the test they want the report for.
NOTE: Administrators can generate reports for all tests on the system whereas professors can only generate reports for the tests within their lessons.
The "question analysis" section of the report indicates the scores achieved by the users for each question, showing the percentage of users to choose each answer.
The "test analysis" section of the report, indicates the percentage of users to achieve a score within the various "score brackets", yielding administrators or professors with instant knowledge of users to achieve a score within the relevant score bracket or above.
This section of the report indicates the questions on the test, showing the question type, difficulty, scores achieved.
The "users tab" of test reports indicates the users that have attempted the test, the number of attempts and the minimum, maximum and average scores achieved by each.
Yielding very useful information, test reports will help administrators and professors obtain the information they require, efficiently and accurately, allowing them to spend more time on other duties.
[edit] Time constraint reports
As the name suggests, these reports can be time constrained to generate information within a particular time interval. There is a plethora of such reports available as shown below:
As shown above, there are many types of reports available, aimed at assisting administrators and professors obtain the information they require.
[edit] Certification reports
These reports help administrators and professors identify users who have obtained certificates within a time interval, certificates that will expire or users with specific certificate key, as shown below:
A very useful tool, giving administrators and professors the information they need easily and quickly.
