Surveys
From EFrontWiki
eFront has integrated support for surveys. The Survey function is available to the professor of each lesson. The professor may create a survey by defining a code, title and the time period where students will be able to answer its questions.
For this small tutorial we assume that we want to create a new survey about end-user experience with eFront. We start by setting its basic characteristics, as shown in the image below
After saving the survey,we are led to the surveys list. The next step is to add questions to our survey, by using the relevant button.
The survey content is created in a similar way like tests, namely by assembling questions which may be:
- Yes or No
- Development
- Select answer from a list
- Multiple choice questions with one or more possible answers
The questions we have added, are shown in the questions list.
The professor may preview
the format of the survey, activate it
and have it then published to the students.
Until the publishing point no student is able to see or answer the questionnaire. When the professor publishes the survey he or she chooses the lesson's students that may answer it.
A personal message (or optionally an email) will be sent to let these students know of the survey.
The professor has full overview of the number of questionnaires submitted not only through the general counter of completed surveys but also via extensive reports on results. These reports may also be exported in a Spreadsheet format for further processing.
A survey can be completed by a student by clicking on the "Do the survey" link on the relevant notification personal message or email.
Worth mentioning is that surveys may be completed without users having to enter eFront (through an external interface). They receive an email, as shown in the image above
and by clicking on the link they are led to this page, to complete the survey:
